Lhazaar was a legendary explorer who was the leader of the first human expedition to settle Khorvaire, around 2000 years before the foundation of Galifar. The Lhazaar Principalities are named after her, as is the Lhazaar Sea.[1]

While most legends tell stories of Lhazaar as a fearless explorer, academics revisiting this story, led by Ellias Onsten, have theorized that Lhazaar's expedition was actually composed of criminals, deserters, and other undesirables fleeing the continent of Sarlona for a better life.[2]
